Apr. 12th, 2010 09:49 pmAndrAIa wakes in the middle of the night, something she's become accustomed to more and more as the alpha grows inside of her. Tonight, though, there's no full-feeling bladder and for a moment, she lies there, trying to figure out what woke her until a sharp pain causes her to almost cry out. As soon as it passes, the Game sprite reaches over to nudge her husband awake.
"Matrix?"
Matrix just grumbles a little in his sleep and turns over. AndrAIa doesn't stop nudging him, though.
"Lover, please get up."
"Whatzit?"
"Enzo, I...think the baby's coming."
Before she even finishes the sentence, Matrix is out of bed and on his feet, rushing around the apartment and gathering things to take with them to the hospital, and he very nearly makes it out the door without her before she calls him back.
Matrix most likely breaks several traffic laws getting her to the hospital, but miraculously, they make it there in one piece and the look on the nurse's faces is priceless as he kicks open the doors and roars for assistance.
The rest of the night is long, emotional, painful, but by the morning, Matrix is nursing a bruised hand, AndrAIa is exhausted, and both are deliriously happy.
The Matrix family has grown by one.

Feb. 8th, 2009 10:26 pmThere's a bit of a brouhaha going down at the PO this cycle. Seems a certain Game sprite and renegade Guardian are finally making things all legit.
Matrix tugs irritably at his dress shirt for the umpteenth time, and AndrAIa moves to correct it. "Tell me again why we're doing this?" he growls, rolling his eyes at his almost-wife's fussing.
The Game sprite's reply is carefully neutral and patient, as if she's reminding herself of the answer as well. "Because we both love your sister very much."
He scowls. "But... she took Gun away."
"And you'll get Gun back afterward."
"I feel naked," her almost-husband whines again, and he gets a lecherous sort of grin in reply.
"No, that's later."

Jul. 17th, 2008 09:20 pmOne can hear a certain pair of sprites returning before seeing them; the relative peace of Mainframe shattered by the roar of two massive bikes approaching. Two specks appear in the sky growing larger and larger as the pair get closer and descend, finally touching down and parking in front of Dot’s Diner. The twin roaring stops as both bikes are shut off and their occupants dismount. AndrAIa turns to face Matrix with a wry smile.
“Well, Lover, time to face the music.”
“Well, Lover, time to face the music.”
AndrAIa was moping around the Supercomputer. She'd always wanted to see it, just o figure out what all the fuss was about, but now that she was here, it became obvious that all of the power, all of the glory of the Supercomputer couldn't match that of one sprite.
One particular sprite, anyway. She sighed and rested her head in her hands, closing her eyes. If she concentrated hard enough, she could almost believe she felt his arms around her.
