There's a bit of a brouhaha going down at the PO this cycle. Seems a certain Game sprite and renegade Guardian are finally making things all legit.

Matrix tugs irritably at his dress shirt for the umpteenth time, and AndrAIa moves to correct it. "Tell me again why we're doing this?" he growls, rolling his eyes at his almost-wife's fussing.

The Game sprite's reply is carefully neutral and patient, as if she's reminding herself of the answer as well. "Because we both love your sister very much."

He scowls. "But... she took Gun away."

"And you'll get Gun back afterward."

"I feel naked," her almost-husband whines again, and he gets a lecherous sort of grin in reply.

"No, that's later."

Ray steps beside Mouse and strings one glowing arm around her shoulders. Noting her tears of joy, he gives her a bit of a squeeze and a shake, a grin of amusement on his face. "Doin' okay?"

"I'm feelin' a little embarrassed at m'self, actually," Mouse confides. "But I can't help it. Seems like just th'other cycle AndrAIa was a bright-eyed li'l thing" - Mouse uses her hand to indicate AndrAIa's approximate height at age 10 - "an' now she's gettin' hitched!" Mouse blows her nose in her tissue with a loud honk.

Ray tries not to laugh at the sound of her nose.

"True, but she did kinda hit fast-forward on the whole 'age' thing. Not t' mention this is the second wedding for both of 'em." He takes a minute to muse at his own joke. "An' we aren't even counting the difference in that great green thing over there."

"Well, yeah, but it kinda hit me all sudden-like," Mouse admits. "An' havin' little Enzo kinda..." She stops and frowns thoughtfully. "Y'know, I wonder if this is weird for him, his older self gettin' married."

"It'd be weird to me." Ray said, rubbing a gloved hand over his short-cropped head. "Like seein' my alternate future if I were angry and always tryin' to prove somethin'." He smiled at Mouse. "But we don' need to worry about the little guy, he's off to a great start. AND he's got himself a great gal, just like his doppleganger. We'll be in ghost country attending a wedding before we know it."

Mouse chuckles. "Oh, that'd be all kinds of interestin'," she says. Then she gets a slightly alarmed look, leans in and whispers, "Don't go sayin' that t'Dot now. I don't think she wants t'be worryin' about it fer a while yet."

Ray whistles low. "Right, mind the doting sister, I gotcha." He gestures to where the others have gathered around Matrix and AndrAIa. "We should probably say 'congrats', you think?"

"Yeah, let's. Uh, no mentionin' that whole thing 'bout little Enzo gettin' married to them, either. Or anythin' about it." She's just making sure everyone's clear on that.

Ray sighs. "Yes, love."

He leads Mouse to the pair of honor and greets them warmly. "G'Day, Soonly Re-Weds. Bit 'a deja-vu, huh?"

"I don't know, " Matrix grumbles, taking the opportunity to shoot his sister a dirty look. "Last time was pretty different."

Rolling her eyes at Matrix's antics, AndrAIa gives Mouse a concerned and incredulous look. "Mouse, were you crying?"

Mouse quickly conceals her used tissue behind her back. "Maybe a bit."

Ray squeezes Mouse again. "Aw, it's a'right, Love, you're cute when you get all flustered."

Mouse shoots Ray a brief but very pointed look that promises to fluster him later on if he doesn't stop teasing her. Especially in front of Matrix. Ray should know better.
