There's a bit of a brouhaha going down at the PO this cycle. Seems a certain Game sprite and renegade Guardian are finally making things all legit.

Matrix tugs irritably at his dress shirt for the umpteenth time, and AndrAIa moves to correct it. "Tell me again why we're doing this?" he growls, rolling his eyes at his almost-wife's fussing.

The Game sprite's reply is carefully neutral and patient, as if she's reminding herself of the answer as well. "Because we both love your sister very much."

He scowls. "But... she took Gun away."

"And you'll get Gun back afterward."

"I feel naked," her almost-husband whines again, and he gets a lecherous sort of grin in reply.

"No, that's later."

"Yup," says the- okay, the sprite, he's not really a mech right now, is he. (Slag, that's weird.) "Congratulations, Matrix."

You know how some guys look uncomfortable in rental tuxedos? Ironhide is in a rental body. Or the equivalent thereof.

"Thanks." Matrix smirks, recovering from his perplexity. "You do something different with your hair?"

Ironhide makes a rude noise; he's better at those now that he's got actual lips. "This is what I get for coming in here," he mutters. "Last time I saw anything like this it was at Cubefall."

Matrix snorts. "Try playing Games sometime. You reboot as something different every time."

"Yeah. No." Ironhide shakes his head. "I changed my configuration when I went from construction mech to weapons master. That's plenty, thank you."

"That's a pretty big reformat," Matrix agrees. "Rebooting's more of a plug-in. Your base code's still the same."

"More like acquiring local camouflage," says Ironhide. "Changing alt modes is a pain in the aft, but we can do it any time we have to and there's a base vehicle around to scan."

"ReBooting's easy, but that's 'cause the Game does it for you. And you don't usually get to choose your form."

"Bumblebee'd probably have a better idea what that's like than me," says Ironhide. "He's got scout modifications. Stores his last twelve alt modes just in case he needs to switch to something and there's nothing around to scan. That's as close as we get."
