Over in Kits sector tonight, it's a domestic sort of scene; for the next few cycles, the two-sprite apartment is home to four sprites while Dot and Bob adjust to married life.

From within the apartment's kitchen, AndrAIa calls out to her and Matrix's two charges.

"Enzo, Dani, dinner's ready!"

Enzo skids to a halt and stares at the two primary food items.

"...which is which?"

Enzo should be feeling a slight pain in his side right about now, 'cause Dani's just jabbed her elbow into his side.

"Be nice!" she hisses.

"Oof!"

What? He was serious. There's not a lot of visual difference.

"The Crufty Joes are the dark brown piles, and the HomePageFries are the light brown piles."

Matrix smiles. No, there's not much difference. Neither he nor AndrAIa are much for appearance. Well, at least he isn't.

"Okay, that makes sense," Dani replies. It takes her a nano or two to detect the slight color difference between the two piles.

AndrAIa places plates down at the three places set at the small table in the kitchen and drags the extra chair over to the vacant spot.

"Alright then, boys and girl, have a seat and then we can eat"

She snags her own plate, and since there's barely room for three at the table, she seats herself on the bit of countertop closest to the table.

Enzo takes a seat and eyes his plate dubiously. Past experience, however, has proven that the older sprites' food tastes a lot better than it looks, so after a moment, he digs in.

Well, if Enzo's eating it then it must be okay, so Dani follows his lead.

Matrix forks a large helping of the HomePage, then shoves it into his mouth and swallows, barely chewing it beforehand.

Speaking around a smaller yet still unswallowed mouthful, he interrogates the table’s younger pair. “Who won the battle of the action figures?”

The other Enzo is eating pretty similarly. Perhaps the Academy will have a civilizing influence on this one. We can hope.

"No wum yeff," he says before swallowing. "But she has to, I'm playing Dr. Bogosity." Because, obviously, the malware cannot win.

From the counter top, AndrAIa smiles a bit nostalgically, and after a moment, the smile quickly dissolves into a fit of snickering.

Dani shoots AndrAIa a Look. "What's so funny?" she asks.

She doesn't answer Dani per se; instead, she looks over at Matrix with a wide smile on her face and speaks in a exaggeratedly feminine tone.

"Save me, Austin Powersurge! You're my only hope against this Malicious Malware!"

Matrix poses... difficult while sitting down, but he pulls it off. "Fear not fair maiden! Malware has no hope against the implacable power of lovey goodness and hugs!"

Matrix barely manages to hold his composure for a few seconds before breaking down into giggling. (Manly giggling that is).

Chuckling, perhaps. It sounds more dignified, anyway.

Enzo gawps for a moment, then looks at them suspiciously. They're not making fun of them, are they?

Dani shares a Look with Enzo.

They'd better not be.

No, not making fun, just basking in the nostalgia of what was before the Web War.

AndrAIa's response is mostly drowned out by fits of sniggering on both sprites' parts, and the plate in her lap is precariously close to ending up on the floor.

Matrix gasps for breath, then quickly dissolves into more manly giggling.

"And..." giggle... "sunshine..." giggle... "and... AND..!"

It's really hard to talk through a sudden outburst of mirth.

Okay, what did Enzo miss? Where's all the machismo gone?

Hmmmm...

He leans over to Dani. "Did you bring your camera?"

"No, spamit," Dani grumbles, pouting.

She had considered bringing it while she was packing, but then that little logical voice in her head had wondered when she'd have time to use it.

Dani was starting to hate that little logical voice.

"Aw, crash it." So much for blackmail.

The snickering slowly stops as the Game sprite pulls herself together, and she looks over at Matrix once again.

"You know, I wonder if Dot still has our action figures stored away somewhere. They could be worth something, being as old as they are."

At Andi's words Matrix snaps from mirthful laughter to thoughtful frown with a miniscule transition time. (Hexidecimal would have been envious)

"I don't think I ever got around to throwing them out. That leaves a lot of risks for them, but I suppose I'll have to ask Dot once she's not busy."

"Oh!" So that was nostalgia, not mockery. It's... good to see Matrix is still capable of that. "Did you get any new ones after when I'm from?"

Poor kid's missed five years' worth of new toy releases.

Matrix ponders the time since backup. Were there any new ones?

"Yeah, yeah I think so. What were they again? The... the anti-virus avengers! That's it!"

Matrix strains his memory again. "And I think there was a Commander Spybot, still in the box too."
